Nursery Assistant

Hi, I’m Dorotea. I was born in Albania but moved to a small village in the North of Italy when I was young. I studied Health and Social care and did a couple of internships in nurseries and day centres. At university I studied Sociology and I’m currently working on my graduation on the ‘gift’ of neurodiversity.

I moved to London because I felt the need to live in a multicultural city and this is what London is.

Working with children has always been my dream. Since I was a child, I used to look up to my teachers. Taking care of children is the most natural and beautiful thing in the world and it’s wonderful to see how children are surprised by little things. I’m inspired by the In The Moment Learning approach as I like to teach children about what they are doing right now, observing what catches their attention and trying to extend their learning.

My favourite hobby is climbing mountains and to get out into the nature. Focusing on natural sounds helps me to focus on the things that really matter to me. I also like to visit galleries.

• Diploma in Health and Social care with a major in Sociology
• Professional Course for child assistance 0-3
• Understanding Autism training
• Nursery experience
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
