On Friday the 1^st of July we had our very first Inset Day with a full team at Melody Lane! It was a super exciting day with lots of learning and fun.

We started our day with a lovely breakfast upstairs and then kicked of our Inset Day with a fun team building game.

Our first presentation was ‘Vision and Values’ by Francesca. We talked about what our vision means to us and how we want to make a difference to our children’s early education. We also talked about inspiring activities to ensure our curriculum is embedding our vision. It was a very inspiring presentation/conversation!

Next up was Aga’s Safeguarding Game to refresh our knowledge. As everyone gave perfect answers, everyone won the price of choosing their own snacks for the staff room next week!

After a short break, we had Elyne’s presentation about Managing Challenging Behaviour. We talked about the importance of consistency, parent partnership and positive language.

We ended our presentations with a fun ‘story telling’ game and after a delicious lunch and dessert prepared by Ramla, the team organised their room. We ended the day with a staff social where all 3 Islington sites came together for the very first time.
