Assistant Manager

Hi I’m Katie and I have lived in England my whole life. As a child my dream was to follow my mum’s footsteps as a ballerina and so I trained for two years at the English National Ballet School in London. After deciding ballet was not the career for me, I moved back home to my family in Surrey where I decided I wanted to pursue a career in Early Years. I began working at Monkey Puzzle Highbury in 2021 as a Nursery Assistant in the Toddler Room and after completing my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, became a Nursery Practitioner.

In September 2022, I was offered the opportunity to progress and moved to our sister nursery, Monkey Puzzle Angel to become the Toddler Room Leader. This was a big challenge for me but I absolutely loved pushing myself out of my comfort zone! In February 2023, I returned again to my hometown in Surrey and began a completely different role in the organisation working as Recruitment Assistant across the 5 nurseries in our network. I have since progressed into a role of Talent & Marketing Manager where my key responsibilities include recruiting new super stars to join the team, looking after our ‘ZeroHero’ team members and running the social media accounts for the nurseries. I am very excited to take on a new role as Assistant Manager at the Nursery.

In my spare time, I really enjoy reading, going for long walks in nature and spending quality time with my friends and family!
