Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Melody Lane
We, the Kent Family, would like to welcome you to our nursery. We started our journey in 2013 with a small team at Monkey Puzzle Highbury, our very first nursery. We spent our time in the classrooms, learning and growing with our first groups of children about how to give them the very best start in life. Through attentive care and teamwork we were able to achieve the highest OFSTED grade, “Outstanding” in all areas at our first inspection.
Now Geoff, Wendy, Rik, Ant and Mike run 4 Outstanding Monkey Puzzle Nurseries in Islington and St Albans together with our extended family – the wonderful teams of dedicated practitioners that we work with. In early 2022, we are so excited to grow our family again with Monkey Puzzle Melody Lane, which will be run to the same high standards with our vision to “inspire children to change tomorrow’s world”.
Our nursery offers high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old. All of our care is specially tailored to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies, aged three to fourteen months, toddlers & tweenies, aged fourteen months to three years, and pre-school, aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home from home feel.
Monkey Puzzle Melody Lane is located in the heart of Highbury and is just a 12 minute walk from Highbury and Islington train station.
We are open 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year.
We are closed for 1 week at Christmas so that everyone in the nursery can have some quality time with their families.

Staff Social!✨✨
As part of our staff social initiative, our Preschool Room team went for their social to an escape room! This was such a fun experience and a great team building session.

Guide Dog Visit 🦮
Last week we welcomed two special guests to the nursery, Bruno and his carer Elizabeth! Bruno is a retired guide dog and he and Elizabeth came to the nursery to talk to our Preschoolers about the important work that guide dogs do to support people living with visual impairments. This was a great opportunity for the children to learn about the different challenges that people face in life and how they overcome them.
